"I've had a server with these guys that currently has over a 500 day uptime. No outages in the 2+ years I've been with them. Definitely one of the most well managed hosts out there. Highly recommended"

"It just works. It's like having your own pretty capable co-located server at a fraction of the cost of actual hardware. No complaints about any aspect of the offering."

"I am with serveraxis for a year now, they are great. For me it was a long selection, ping times from brazil, tracert ect all was better than the rest. I don't know about their suport, I just never needed them. Have a great plan with them. They use Xen, no Overselling ! ! ! ! My box is always running fast, never had any problems with serveraxis."

"Do Not Use These Guys! Not because of their product, but because of their service. We've been with them for several years in a collocation/hosted server setup. The technical stuff has worked great, and the uptime is awesome. However, I had my credit card stolen on the last day of the month, and discover accidentally marked the hosting payment charge as bad and did a chargeback. My assumption is that the Sa guys took this as their chance to get rid of me since they are changing their product model. They suspended my account without telling me. I couldn't login, but the system didn't tell me my account was suspended. I finally after a week was able to get someone to get back to me to tell me about the issue with the Cc (I was unaware, since the charge was on my Cc, and I had paid it.) I've now spent the last several weeks trying to give them a new card number, and have also called discover on their behalf. Discover reissued the credit and reversed the chargeback, but Sa wouldn't acknowledge it. This is the Only billing issue or any other issue I ever had with them, after more than $10,000 worth of fees paid. I've now lost all of my server configuration and some data due to a failed backup. They don't care, and actively got rid of me. They never even contacted me to warn me about the pending suspension (this is dictated that they will in their ToS.) Beware of Server Axis, they could effectively cost you clients and $1000's like they have me. This is all true. I'm currently going to the Illinois Ag and Bbb, and hopefully I can warn others not to trust them."
For all but the most insanely high-traffic apps, the best Ruby on Rails hosting solution these days is a combination of Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and a shared host like DreamHost.
This is because you should serve all your static assets from CloudFront and use SES for outgoing email. Your application layer should sit on Heroku (until it becomes crazy expensive), and your inbound email server, domain redirects, and miscellaneous stuff should be on a shared host.
TIP: use the promo code RHPROMO to get $30.00 USD off at signup with DreamHost.
